The Committee promotes best practices in materials management, purchasing, and supply chain. This Committee shares common issues and solutions specific to trends in supply chain management. The Committee addresses issues related to supply chain such as shortages, managing the supply chain, and other issues.
The Committee’s Continued Focus
Since the Committee met for the first time in March 2020, the focus of the group has been COVID-19 and supply chain management. The Committee shared information related to personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, and gowns. The Committee also shared information about management of specific supplies including COVID test kits. Most recently, the Committee has been working on supplies of vaccines, storage of vaccines. and vaccine-related issues. The Committee will focus on education, information, trends, and sharing of best practices in supply chain management.
